He is not a coach. He is the person who gets the booking through and spends the day with you. What you take home from the day matters more than the score.
Playing since around 2016, mostly on courses in Kanto.
An amateur. He plays at a level that keeps the round enjoyable.

He books the tee time as a two-player group and plays all 18 holes with you, helping at check-in, with the pace of play, and at payment. Green fee, cart, lunch and travel are not included.

Japanese courses don't accept solo bookings; two players is the minimum. He books the tee time as a pair with you.
He speaks only Japanese. Messages go through the translation here, and we use a translation app on the course.
No. He'll pick a course with rentals and arrange it in advance.
There is no pickup. You meet at the course or the nearest station; a taxi from the station is quickest.
6–7 hours on the course, plus 1–2 hours each way. Japanese rounds include a lunch break partway.
The pace is quicker, there's a lunch break, and there's a dress code. He'll walk you through it on the day.
That's fine. He averages 83 but he isn't a coach. Enjoying the round together is the point.
The earlier the better. Availability depends on the course, so message him once your dates are set.
You pay the green fee, cart, lunch and travel yourself at the club. The host fee is agreed between you.
